Ewen's Running Diary - 1999

This page is my running diary from 1999, the year I turned 42. There were 136 days when I didn't run. Long work hours were a problem. Most 'rest days' were work related. Mileage for the year was 2,510 km - an average of just over 48 km per week (not enough to be able to race well).

My best results during 1999 were: 800m - 2:29.2, 1500m - 5:11.9, 3000m - 11:18.0, 5000m - 20:04.0, 3000m Steeplechase 12:22.0, 5k road - 19:49, 10k road - 41:15, Half Marathon - 96:55, ACT XC Champs 12k - 55:20, City to Surf 14k - 64:46.

13 From Chatswood Golf Club to Lane Cove River Park then Rotary 400m grass track. Ran 400m in 68.9, 300m in 53.4, 200m in 32.2 and 100m in 15.8. Felt good.
