Ewen's Running Diary - 2000

This page is my running diary from 2000, the year I turned 43. For this year my goal was to train 'better' and race faster than I did in 1999. I ran 3,544 km - an average of just under 67 km per week. There were 78 days when I didn't run. This was the last year that I broke 40 minutes for 10k.

My best results for 2000 were: 400m - 70.3, 800m - 2:33.7, 1500m - 5:09.1, 3000m - 11:29.0, 5000m - no race, 10,000m - 42:01.0, 3000m Steeplechase - 12:51.0, 3000m Race Walk - 16:16.0, 5000m Race Walk - 28:23.0, Cross Country 12k - 51:13, 5k road - 20:14, 10k road - 39:16, Half Marathon - 1:37:39, City to Surf 14k - 57:54.
